Delta is now on Facebook!

CALENDAR CHANGE!
Please go to our Calendar page to see important date changes.
Due to volume of requests for late sign-ups, the Manager's Meeting originally scheduled for this week has been moved to Monday, Feb 6th at 7:00pm - in the Prewett Water Park Multi-use Room.

This means that coaches will not be calling players until Feb 6th - 9th.  If your player hasn't received a call by then, please contact your Division Commissioner for information.

Thank you for your patience as we try to accommodate as many kids as possible.

Delta Goes to Bat for Schools!
For each child who registers to play in our league, we will donate a portion (up to 5%) of the registration fee to the school which that child attends.  Our goal is to provide some extra funding for the playground equipment and classroom supplies that our schools so desperately need.  Join us in supporting our community's schools by simply registering to play ball in our Spring 2012 season.  Make sure to indicate on your registration form which local school your child attends.

We are still in need of experienced umpires. We pay up to $40 a game for our most experienced umpires. Contact us ASAP to set up an interview.

Our mission is to provide a positive and instructional baseball / softball league for children where the focus is on participation, fundamentals, and enjoyment of the game; all in a safe environment where everyone is treated fairly.

Winning is not the primary goal.
Put into Action

A Mission Statement is just the beginning. The Board of Directors has implemented rules designed to achieve the mission statement. Listed below is how we implement our Mission Statement through practices, rules, and policies.

Practice: We train our coaches in positive coaching techniques. We’re teaching life skills through the game of baseball.

Players cannot improve while sitting on the bench.

·   Rule: In non-competitive divisions, no player can sit two innings before every player has sat one inning.

·   Rule: In non-competitive divisions, every player is in the batting order

·   Rule: In competitive divisions, players are guaranteed offensive and defensive playing time every game!

To foster fun

·  Rule: Each non competitive division has scoring limits.

·  Rule: Coaches' and team sponsors' children are pre-selected to the team. The rest of the players are selected by age and experience in a blind draft. No tryouts required for non-competitive divisions.

·  Policy: While we do keep score in all divisions except T-Ball, there are no league standings in non-competitive divisions.
